Automated AI Phone Calls are already scary good

The landscape of politics, sales, and customer support is on the cusp of a revolutionary shift due to AI phone calls.

This leads us to a few issues to think about before moving forward;

1. Misinformation and Disinformation: AI's capability to spread false information, particularly in political contexts​​​​​​.

2. Privacy Concerns: Use of personal and biometric data, like voice recordings, in AI phone calls without consent​​.

3. Fraud and Scams: AI voice cloning used in convincing scams, such as impersonating family members​​​​.

4. Regulatory Challenges: Lack of comprehensive regulations for ethical AI use in communication​​​​.

5. Erosion of Trust: Difficulty in discerning genuine from AI-generated calls leading to skepticism in communication​​.

It's astonishing to witness the rapid pace the evolution, just have a look at this:

Incredible. We’re “just” a few years in. This is the beginning.

The images below depicted with 1-6 in the top left corner, show the evolution of the quality of prompt understanding and image quality in the respective versions of Midjourney.

All six pictures are created with the same text prompt: "extreme dangerous life threatening viral insane selfie ever of man in his 20s with dangerous lion"

Initially, Midjourney's AI was in its nascent stages, creating images that were relatively basic in detail and depth. From version 1 to version 6 there has been a significant leap in the quality of the images produced.

Midjourney’s ability to interpret complex prompts and produce visually stunning, detailed, and realistic images has already become profoundly sophisticated.

This progress reminds us to the progress in video game development over the last 25 years, only this is 1,5 years of progress.

It’s safe to say that the (close) future will be highly interesting, and wildly different.
